Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
About United for Care
United for Care is dedicated to disrupting the disability sector with the purpose of improving quality of life for people living with disability. We are relentless in our pursuit of innovation, inclusion, and human rights, building a new model of care that is person-centred.
Founded in 2020, we have scaled rapidly while maintaining agility. We are now in a critical growth phase that requires robust multi-entity financial oversight, consolidated reporting, and strategic FP&A in a highly regulated environment.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced FP&A professional with proven hands-on experience working across groups of companies (multi-entity structures, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and group-level reporting). You will play a key role in strengthening financial visibility, forecasting, and decision support across our group entities while partnering closely with the GFC and operational leaders.
This is a hands-on contract role ideal for someone who has thrived in both startup/scale-up settings and larger multi-entity organisations ($50M+ revenue or operating budgets). You will be expected to hit the ground running and deliver immediate value in a dynamic, mission-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Entity Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead group-level budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across multiple entities.
Prepare consolidated financial reports, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet with full intercompany eliminations.
Manage monthly/quarterly variance analysis and driver-based forecasting at both entity and group level.
Business Partnering & Strategic Insights
Provide commercial insights and scenario modelling to support decisions on new developments, service expansions, pricing, and NDIS funding changes.
Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards (Power BI preferred) that give clear visibility into performance by entity, site, and service line.
Financial Operations & Governance
Own the monthly financial close process from an FP&A perspective, including group consolidations.
Track and analyse capex across entities for property and technology investments.
Identify cost optimisation and efficiency opportunities while protecting care quality.
Support audit readiness, NDIS compliance, and funding submissions with accurate multi-entity analysis.
Process & System Improvement
Review and strengthen multi-entity reporting processes and controls.
Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency in forecasting and reporting.
What Success Looks Like
Prepared financial viability models across the business, identified new opportunities, and proactively highlighted process inefficiencies and cost-saving initiatives.
Delivered a robust consolidated FY27 budget and rolling forecasts with clear entity-level and group-level insights.
Implemented improved multi-entity variance reporting and scenario models that reduce forecast variance on key drivers.
Strengthened relationships with the GFC and operational leaders through clear, timely financial insights.
Candidate Profile – Essential Experience
You will have strong, hands-on experience managing FP&A across groups of companies, including:
Working with multiple legal entities, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
Building and maintaining group-level models and reporting.
Required Background
Proven FP&A experience in both startup/scale-up environments (fast-paced, building from scratch) and larger organisations with $50M+ revenue or operating budgets.
Minimum 7+ years’ relevant FP&A experience, with at least 3 years working in a multi-entity / group structure.
Advanced financial modelling skills (Excel + Power BI or equivalent).
Strong understanding of cash flow, unit economics, and scenario planning in a multi-site or multi-entity setting.
Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, disability, aged care, social enterprise, or similar) is highly advantageous.
NDIS funding knowledge is desirable but not mandatory if you are commercially sharp and a fast learner.
Personal Attributes
Mission-aligned and motivated by social impact.
Excellent communicator – able to simplify complex multi-entity financials for non-finance stakeholders.
Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a growing organisation.
High integrity and strong attention to detail.
What We Offer
Competitive daily/hourly contract rate (negotiable based on experience).
6-month fixed-term contract with high likelihood of extension or conversion.
Opportunity to make a real impact in a high-growth, values-driven NDIS provider.
Exposure to a complex multi-entity group structure in the disability sector.
United for Care is an equal-opportunity employer and strongly encourages applications from people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and candidates from diverse backgrounds.
